High flying Bangladesh face Kyrgyzstan today

1 (580 x 430)DHAKA: High flying Bangladesh under-16 women’s football team embark on a new mission with a aim to continue their winning spree in the AFC under-16 Women’s Championship 2017 Qualifiers as they face Kyrgyzstan in their third group C encounter scheduled to be held on Wednesday at the country’s premier venue Bangabandhu National Stadium, reports BSS.
The match kicks off at 6pm. In the day’s other two matches of the fixture at the same venue, Singapore will play against Chinese Taipei at 11 am while Islamic Republic of Iran meet United Arab Emirates (UAE) at 3pm.  Earlier, Bangladesh got off to an auspicious start in the tournament as they stunned tournament favorite Iran by 3-0 goals in their opening match and in the second match it was almost an action replay of the first game against Iran. Bangladesh played with the same attacking mindset and practically pinned Singapore down Singapore by 5-0 goals.
On the other hand, Chinese Taipei also continued their winning run as they crushed Kirgizstan by 7-1 goals in their tournament opening match and dumped UAE by 5-0 goals in their second group match.
Title contender Iran bounced back in the competition with an overwhelming 9-0 goals victory over Kyrgyzstan after a shocking 0-3 goals defeat against the home side in their tournament opening match.
UAE failed to post any victory so far but they able to manage one point playing out to a 2-2 goals draw with Singapore in the tournament opening match.
Bangladesh which placed in group C along with Iran, Chinese Taipei, UAE and Singapore, will play their group fourth match against strong Chinese Taipei on September 3 and play their group last match against UAE.
