Tamim now in ‘9000 runs club’
Bangladesh opener Tamim Iqbal is now in 9000 runs club. He batted with ease to score a responsible fifty, helping the side get a respectable total in the opening one-day international against Afghanistan on Sunday.
Tamim looked very comfortable during his stay at the wicket on his way to 80 runs from 98 balls that included nine fours and more importantly constructed two valuable partnerships.
Bangladesh scored 265 runs overall before they were all out in the last ball of the innings.
On the course of his innings, Tamim also achieved an individual feat for him as he became the first Bangladeshi batsman for his country to score 9000 runs across all formats in international cricket.
