Sleeping teenager killed in roof downfall in the capital

A teenaged girl was killed in sleep as the roof of her tin-shed building and a part of first-floor wall of her adjacent building collapsed on her at New C Block area of Shah Ali in the capital early Tuesday.
The victim was identified as Kulshum Akhter Nishi, 16, daughter of Harunur Rashid,resident of Tikkapara village of Sherpur.
Shah Ali police station assistant sub-inspector Shamsul Huq told the bd24live.com that big chunks of concretes fell on the victim’s tin-shed roof as the adjacent old and run-down building’s first-floor roof declined around 2:30am.
He said that the other family members and neighbours immediately rescued the victim and took her to Dhaka Medical College Hospital where the on-duty doctors declared her dead.
No case was so far filed in this incident.
