Staff Correspondent: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina left Goa today morning for home after joining the BRICS-BIMSTEC Leaders’ Outreach Summit in India.
The two-day summit ended in the Indian southwest state of Goa on Sunday with the theme ‘BRICS-BIMSTEC: A Partnership in Opportunities’.
A VVIP flight of Bangladesh Biman carrying the prime minister and her entourage members took off from Goa Naval Base Airport at 7.10 am (Indian time), reports BSS.
Indian State Minister for External Affairs MJ Akbar, Minister for Science and Technology of Goa Alina Saldanha, Secretary (coordination) of the government of Goa Padma Jaiswal, Bangladesh High Commissioner in New Delhi Syed Moazzem Ali and Deputy High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Mumbai Samina Naz were present at the airport to see the prime minister off.
Earlier, the Bangladesh prime minister Sheikh Hasina was given a static guard of honour by the members of Indian Armed Forces, while artistes displayed local cultural activities in her honour.
