Khadiza seeks blessings for early recovery
Staff Correspondent:Sylhet college student Khadiza Begum Nargis has appeared before a press conference at Square Hospitals in Dhaka today more than one and a half month into the brutal and heinous attack on her by BCL leader Badrul Alam.
Seeking everyone’s blessings for her early recovery, she said, “You have prayed for me. I hope you will pray for me in future too.”
She also expressed her gratitude to the hospital authorities and media.
About her release from the hospital, Mirza Nazim Uddin, director of the hospital’s medical services, said the decision is now upon medical board formed for her treatment.
Khadiza still needs to undergo therapies for her rehabilitation, her doctors said.
Khadiza was tortured brutally by Badrul Alam, a fourth-year student at Shahjalal University of Science and Technology (Sust) and also senior assistant secretary of the BCL unit in Sust on October 3.
