Bangladesh delegation play blame game over missing millions
Staff Correspondent: A rule was issued today over the four under-trial female prisoners of Kashimpur jail in Gazipur.
The High Court today issued the rule upon the government to interpret as to why the prisoners should not be granted bail.
The HC bench of Justice M Enayetur Rahim and Justice JMB Hasan came up with the suo moto rule today and directed the jail authorities to produce the prisoners before the court for hearing their statements on January 16.
Besides, the HC also sought files and documents of the four separate cases.
The four female prisoners are: Rani alias Nupur, hailing from Mymensingh district, Razia Sultana of Gazipur district, Shahnaz Begum and Sumi Akter Reshma, residents of Narayanganj district.
Nupur was sent to jail in on November 21, 2009 while Razia on May 21, 2009, Shahnaz on September 16, 2008, and Sumi landed in jail on January15, 2009.
